Hi everybody!!
today I went for checkup and to my suprise,I have not gained any weight in the eighth month.In fact I have lost 1 kg.The doc attributes the weight loss to my much reduced swelling in my legs.I have just gained 8 kgs in eight months and I am really worried now because I feel,one gains a lot of weight in the eighth month.How much u people have gained in the eighth month?What should I eat to gain more weight?The doc is not showing much concern .So I am more confused.

Hi Jaya,
I am another one who hasn't put on any wt. in the last two weeks. Infact I don't really feel hungry these days and don't feel like eating..My doctor seems to feel all this is normal so take it easy and relax,,

Hi Jaya. I had my doc appointment today too and she thought i looked big but there was not much weight gain, however, my doc doesnt like weighing during pregnancy, so I haven't been weighted for some time now. Today she did and she checked the fundal measurements and said the baby is normal size, not big or small. I can eat in right proposion and all should be well. So since there is no emphasis on weight gain in UK, i doubt there is any concern if u don't gain every week. All that matters is the baby's growth, which I'm sure ur doc will be monitoring.

Hey Jaya, I am in the same boat... I haven't been putting on too much weight lately.. I put on only a pound at my last doc's visit and will know today about any gain since..(I doubt there will be any)

I will bring it up with my doc today and see what she has to say about that..

Hi Jaya,
I too have'nt been gaining too much weight since a couple of weeks. From what I understand, its not unusual. Your baby will still gain weight ( I am not clear about the weight distribution). As long as your doc isn't worried, you should rest easy.
I have an appointment today....perhaps I can ask about it to my doc.

Hi Jaya,
Last friday, I also had my doc's visit and I haven't gain any weight in last 2 weeks also. I am also in my 8th month. First, she was very concerned about it but after checking fundal measurements she was ok. Fundal measurements were perfectly fine, so she said maybe baby is taking all the weight from you but you are not gaining any weight, which is ok.
So, ask your doc about that, if that's the case and do not need to worry.

do not worry. i gain only 1 lb and my doc is also not worry for any thing and my total wait is increase only 14 lb in this pregnancy but in every case is diff. if u can increase ur diet that`s good but possible than if eat more time but less food that is good for pregnancy. do not worry that will increase ur weight more
