Due Date Club October 2003:Anyone wants to share my stress...

hi everybody

Thought last year was the most stressful year i had...with Pa sick..y'day kindof went thru one of those days. First it was heavy work load at work and juggling between grasping the news of mother -inlaws visa, rules to reapply and forums, then came the obgyn call saying all readings except one hour was a bit above normal..was a bit cool because the nurse while taking said first and last readings were 94..so thot ok seems like i am ok..no it was just one reading that had to change things..add to it, my sister was supposed to go to UK and then come here, her project is postponed indefinitely..i was like ok..this is called \";chappar phad ke news dena\";..had a long peaceful busy seven months..one day changes everything.
Anyway the diet is in our hands...so will do my best, poor husband is now sending new application letters, looking for classes that he can take too to take care of baby including infant CPR...in all this thankful to my friends who have volunteered to help out esp. friends who are experienced mothers..
Only good thing in all this is mother in law was calm so was my husband..guess we are getting too used to stress..baby i think felt the constant discussion around kicked a whole lot y'day..
Anyway, glad to have u guys, my friends here, hopefully Pa and Ma helping indirectly from above...
Hope everyone else is doing fine. Bargavi, regretting i gave the mother in law news to u, seems like i stressed u unnecessarily. Don't worry. Chennai people are better than bombay if u see others experiences in websites.
Manvi hope u are doing fine after ur exams..
Nikki..i am there with u in the diet control.
For everyone else, please don't worry about the visas...I am sure urs will work out fine.
Take care. Thankful to my husband to keep me laughing at such times..and my friends kids who have questions about the baby in aunty's tummy and advice from one of them is \";aunty don't eat cheese, baby will be covered in cheese...does it hurt when the baby kicks..etc\"; innocent ques but really takes a load of my worries being wth them.
thanks to the group for just getting pregnant this month. Take care.

Hi Radhika,
I read ur msg,its really sad to know about ur MIL visa status.I can understand as we both really need our MIL at this moment but don't worry i am sure she will get her visa in her next attempt.
I talked to my hubby yesterday about ur MIL case as i remembered one of his frnd's parents visa also was rejected in their 1st attempt, then he took help from a lawyer and the Doctor, and he send the papers again stating tht his wife is pregnant and needs assistance as he is working full time.As in the frst attempt the reason was to visit their son nd sight seeing so once the visa is rejected it seems its little difficult to convince the Embassy ppl again. Then in the second attempt his parents got their visa.In case if u want i can take his nbr from my hubby nd can give it to u so that u can talk to him personally the whole procedure.
These days i am also feeling very low nd spclly tdy as its Raksha Bandhan,am missing both my brother.
So have u taken leave from ur work or still working? And pls try to keep urself happy come what may as its just a matter of 2 mnths and its very important for us to be happy in this condition.I have decided that from nowonwards i am going to take life as it comes no more rona dhona.
Pls cheer up now and do reply back if u need the nbr of that person.
Take care nd don't worry we all are here for u.
Smile now :)

Thanks uma..i am a bit worried to say i am pregnant becoz most sites and forums tell us not to tell them..moreover us being GC holders and both working may i think work against us..
I wish these guys would understand pregnancy cases..since most are americans in bombay embassy i doubt if they would agree to it..will talk it over with my husband and let u know.want to be sure this time around she is prepared..for the visa and rejection ques..
Thanks for the offer though. will let u know if my husband agrees its a safe soln..currently both just weighing what is best for her..
Thanks for the help.

Hi Radhika

Sorry that u hv to go through all these all at a time. But don't worry we r all there for each other. I know its easy to say then be done but it might make one feel better. Mine sugar is also little bit high but i don't have to go for 3 hr test(thanks to my dr.). She said its ridiculus that ur sugar came high and u have to go or 3 hr test and drink more sugar solution. instead she said to cut down all the possible sweets and walk regularly.

Hope ur mil will get the visa in second attempt. think positive and try to be happy.

Take care

Come to think of it what ur doctor said does make sense..it was a long fasting and then overdose of sugar solution.am going to be asking the doctor if this month's intake has harmed in any way.
Was anyway going to keep my carbs and sugar low even if i would have passed the 3 hour test because if it can increase even for an hour once it could if we did take that much sugar/carbs again..
Am not worried about the trouble i have to take just praying baby has been fine all these days during the two weeks of testing that was going on ...lots of questions next visit to the doc..
Take care..

Hey Radhika
We r always there to hear each others stress(and joys too).
Since u know the diets, u shld be pretty confident abt it. Though I dont have sugar, still my diet is so restricted coz I cant digest lot of stuff. Thats the least of my concern now
No, u didnt stress me out, its good to know good and bad both. I jus got off the fone with my parents, me and them both are acting to each other as though we r very bold and confident abt the whole interview, I know they are scared and they know I'm tensed too.
Hey I heard CPR is good class to take. I will think abt it. In my Infant Care Class it didnt include CPR.
Good that ur MIL and hub are trying to be cool. I heard u can reapply in 3dys is it so? Do reapply and all the very best this time.
Take care of u and baby
