Yesterday I had my doc appt for 16th week. Everything is good, I heard the hearbeat again, the baby was moving a lot as per doctor. They took blood for AFP test I guess. My ultrasound is scheduled for Oct 3rd and follow up appt. on Oct 11th. Also I' m gaining weight too...

I' m extremely tired these days, last week my daughter was sick and it got me less sleep and lot of lifting etc. After waking up in the morning everyday I wish I could take one tylenol, I' m that tired. Doc said it is because of caring for a child during pregnancy while working, she asked me to take it easy and get help with cooking etc. I' m already feeling the pregnancy time should move on fast.

How are you all feeling? Anybody had the 5th month u/s? Who all want to know the sex of the baby, who doesn' t want to... Give me ur inputs I' m confused whether to know or not.

Good to know that everything is fine with you and the baby. CK, I can understand its difficult when the first born is sick but try not to lift her much. I also read somewhere that you should never tell your first born you can' t hold b' coz of pregnancy. That might cause them to develop -ve feelings about baby. Try to come up with excuses like ' mommy is not feeling well or you are growing so big I can' t lift you or mommy has backache' etc.
My son is very sensitive and always asked questions like is it cause you have baby in your tummy? I have to tell him other reasons :)
Yes, Deepa. I do want to find out baby' s sex if baby co-operates. We will be better prepared with clothes etc and can prepare our son also. As we are in US, they do tell us.
CK, we are also in NJ. As you suggested in another email about clothing, I am also wearing kurthas and strech pants for now.

I desperately want to knw the sex of the child, but have no means to do so.
I beleive aparna is going to get the sex detemined. But here in Kolkata, i dont have any idea where to. My doc is absolutely against it, so no help from him. But i will definately find a place.

I suddenly feel my nipples have become v.v. hard and very sensitive too. I dont knw if others feel the same way. Any slight touch is causing a current like sensation. Does anybody feel the same.
