Hi Everybody,

I have a 9 monts old daugher. I am working full time and leave my daugher at her Nani's Place for the day. PLease tell me what can i prepare and give to her so that they can feed her with that.

How much food is enough for her, as she is very thin. generaly she takes only 1/2 katori of Daliya and is satisfie with that.

Can some body provide me a menu with time details as what should be given at what time. Like

6:00 AM 120ml Milk
9:00 AM 1/2 bowl Daliya
11:30 AM 1/2 Banana

If some body has this kind of chart , please send me. Also i want to know how can i reduce her milk content, as she prefers to have mill only

Also she does not like sweet things. Please forward some salt based recepies.

Thanks alot everybody.

hello there, i have a 10 month old daughter and i have been giving her
milk(am still feeding her)morning, afternoon and nights
milk consumption is good, so do not try to stop it or reduce it
at 10.30 morning i give her variety of cereals, like mixed grain, rice, barley, oatmeals. etc
and i also give her rice(fried grains of rice easy for digestion) with dal and carrots and beans boiled to soft and mashed
she enjoys this a lot with a very little amount of salt and ghee
i give this twice, once in the morning at 10.30 as i said and once in the evening at 7.30
and in between snacks i give her rice crackers
am sure this can be of some help to let your little one gain weight
take care n have fun

I am also a working mother .Try to give variety food for your kid.I used to prepare clear soup of vegetables or carrot or tomato then I use the extracts in making khichdi. I used to put butter in soup for taste and weight gain.I used to make khichdi in ghee with any dal(tuar/moong/chana/udad etc) and put all vegetables like potato, gobi, green peas, carrot, beans, ladyfinger, capsicum etc. whatever is avialable at home. My in-laws used to give him fruits or shake. Then we used to give him halwa of atta or sooji or sweet potato or raagi etc.I used to feed him after evening.Above menu is enough for the baby from 8 am to 6 pm.In addition to this we also give him ceralc or first byte .We give him outside milk only when he wants to sleep during day time. I hope this helps you.I try that all type of food should be there in my son's menu.

RE:The Parents Guide to Healthy Snacking
So my sister’s child is a very fussy eater. She generally makes veggie cheese rolls or sandwiches to get her to eat her vegetables. She tries to use colourful and pretty veggies to get her to eat. Giving smoothies, fruit salads and milkshakes is another appetizing and attractive method.
