hope moms n kids r doing fine.

my son Yash had cough and conjestion 2 weeks back.we went to the paed and he gave a cough syrup, antibiotic n vitamins.he recovered but now the conjestion seems to b back. i am looking for a new paed coz this 1 tho is good,, makes us quite hyper and wants us to visit him too often. last time he was about to give nebuliser but didnt when i insisted tht i would want normal oral medication 1st.it worked.

Shanti n pria i read ur comments n post on the same topic,. i also use nasal drops and tht vaccum bulb to clear nasal conjestion.but this is a temporary relief.

pria i m worried as he didnt take enough milk yesterday and slept for 6 hrs continuously which he has never done in the past three months- he sleeps for 4-5 hrs. what abt ur kids- do they sleep at a stretch?

pls let me know what u guys did, any home remedies( i put nutmeg paste on his nose at night)anything tht helped ur kids.

Hi shaily,
It the worst thing to c the kid suffering cough n cold ! saline drops is the best for nasal congestion .. try giving ajwain leaves juice ...it s very effective...also apply some FRANCH OIL in betal leaf (slightly heat the leaf in the tawa ) keep in the chest n forehead ....camphor n ghee (slightly heated up ) apply tis on the chest,nose,armpits,behind ears,palm....i try all these apart from FENISTILL drops (anti allergic-10 drops) and SINECOD (for dry cough-10 drops) prescribed by the doc...
though some nasal congestion lasts ter s nothing to worry ..unless otherwise he coughs badly n throws up ...
he ll surely b ok soon dont panic ..mom s make a diff for the child also to feel better soon..
n about him sleepin ...i think it s fine...mabbe medi makes him sleep ...
update about his health ...n shaily post his fotos on yahoo photos site..am unable to receive them ...
will update sakshi s fotos also soon n post them ...
all others write in too ...

congestion

Hi Shaily,

Matthew has been congested since day 5. I keep saline solution and a nasal aspirator ready at all times. My ped. hasn't prescribed anything. I also keep a humidifier running.

Have any of you pierced your baby´ s ears?

Have any of you pierced your baby' s ears? Where did you get it done? Were you able to change the earrings after the piercing and put on indian ear rings? My pediatrician does not do it, and she suggested that i take tanvi to the mall. Pls share your experiences at the mall if you' ve had any.

My daughter was 5 months old when we decided to get her ear pierced.
