since I had a long labor( 14 hrs ), my baby suffered inside with prolonged labor stress and fianlly had issues after birth. as you all know he got persistant pulmanory hypertension, luckily thye fixed this problem, but the baby is still suffering from breathing issue, he breaths fast than normal. he is recoving now, and our hope is he'll get back to normal. my sincere advice is don't stress out your self in labor for long hours there by stressing your baby, as babies have a limit to withstand the stress level than us. your doc should be smart enough to decide to go for c section in this kind of situaltions, and in my case, my bad luck, it didn't happen unitl the baby heart rate dropped to 70. my sincere advice is don't hesitate to keep c section as an open option. I know many ppl wnat to go for normal delvey, but be aware of the complications that crop up....and don't mess up your delivery and your baby's health....

i completely agree with ur thoughts,as even i had a c-sec,i always wanted a normal delivery but the moment i heard that there was some problem with my baby's position and i would need c-sec,i readily agreed cos at that moment the only thing i wanted is my baby sound and healthy.c-sec has not given me any problems,all u need is some rest which is neede in normal delivery also.the next day i was asked to walk and i did that comfortably.the only thing is that i missed the most important aspect of pregnancy-labour pains.but i am thankful to god cosdue to doc's decision i didnt have to go thro the painful labour and then have a c-sec.i just wantedto share my experience with all of u.anyways ,for all expectant moms,dont take any tension cos the end result of normal or c-sec delivery is simply wonderful.
