Hey guys, I've been noticing lately that I hardly feel any movements at night when I sleep.. I am a light sleeper and am sure if the baby were to move or kick or punch I would wake up.. moreover, I do wake up every few hours to go to the restroom...
I do my kick counts most afternoons after lunch and they seem to be fine so far....
How often do you guys feel the movements???? Do you see any pattern to the baby's most active time and quiet time????

Simmi replied. Hi Avi. I am in the same boat. Lunchtime at work, baby does some movements then nothing much and then at time, before going to bed, sometimes little movement and then when I sleep, even I have been putting my tum on the pillow on the side at times and only feel a kick or two that to sometimes if i get up to go to the loo. So overall slow or no movement at night. Do get concerned in the evenings and try to concentrate to feel the movement, but it is getting lesser by the day.
I doubt that the baby gets hurt by us laying in any position till the time it hurts. When I lie on side though, I do feel pain in my ribs (chest area), could be the weight of the tummy..no clue! Will ask my doc tmw (monday). Anyways, i'm sure all is well with our babes. Take it easy.

Vindhya replied. Hi Avi,
In the first place, I've never felt helluva lot of movements, so I am not finding any difference now. Hope she is OK inside. Lazy me is not counting the kicks either. I am just taking it easy. Like Priya said, I would be worried only if there were NO movements at all.
Like everyone said, the space is getting constricted, so definitely the kicks would be lesser. So don't worry, everything is fine.
Never forget to talk to your doctor.

Priya replied. I think its normal to feel a slow-down in fetal movement from now on. I feel different movements now than before. They are not quite as strong, but are obvious. If you are woried, do the kick-count test ( or have a chocolate and look for response). There's not a whole lot of place left for them to move! You should contact your doctor if you don't feel ANY movements, though.
Priya.
PS My day at E. Arden was fabulous! You should go there.
Vandana replied. Hi Avi. I've noticed too that I feel lesser movements since the past few days. I plan to speak with my doc about it in my next appt. but I guess since the lil' ones are growing rapidly now, this is bound to happen. I dont feel too many kicks at night, but what I do feel is the whole body moving.. the feeling is all over my stomach. thats how I can best explain it:) Also my belly feels more and more harder by the day, wonder why..
Dont worry, and ask your doc about it next time

Hey Vindhya, I haven't been too regular with the kick counts either...I do it when the baby goes through one of his slow/quiet days...
I am sure as long as we do feel some movements through the day, we dont need to worry too much...
On another note.. did you go for the tour of your hosp today????? if so do keep let us know how it went..

thanks Vandana, looks like you and I have feel almost the same.. my tummy is getting harder by the day too and like you I feel movements rather than kicks..
I also wake up every morning worrying about how he is doing cause of the previous night's lack of movements..
I worry that perhaps me lying on my side with my tummy partially on the pillow might be hurting him or me sleeping on my back(I do it when i sleep, without realizing that I am doing it) be doing the same...I just hope I get through the next two months without any problems and have him out safe and sound..
I will surely bring it up with the doc...do let me know what your doc has to say and I will do the same

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.
