Dear Rajlakshmi,
Travel by train is much safer than air at this stage of gestation. In particular you can move around easily.

But I am little concerned as in your other message you mentioned about Low Lying Placenta. If this is condition for you then you do not want to travel by any means in third trimester. Low Lying Placenta raises risk of preterm labor. In fact in third trimester your Dr. will want to monitor you as close as possible and do Fibronectin test around 33 weeks to make sure you are not having risk of preterm labor.

However, if the travel is mandatory ask your Dr. for Fibronectin test in advance and see if you are at risk of preterm labor. Still avoid travel before week 28 as there onward chances of delivery and survival for the new born are increasing.

Hope this helps.
Archie

Dear Rajee,
No worries on baby size. He/she won't show up early because of size. Baby will be showing as it should. Size is not a concern, if the baby is really big during labor then you may have to go to C-section, usually difficult to deliver big babies by relatively slim girls through their pelvis. But I would not worry at this stage. Baby will change his weight gain in third trimester, before 37 weeks it's difficult to estimate size of baby.

Subject:  No problem with placenta

Hi Archie,
Thanks for u'r advice. But i u had misunderstood the question which i had asked.Atpresent i don't have any problems as Low lying placenta.People around me says that i turn left and right frequently during sleeping the baby will get rolled by the placenta (its the tube which connects baby and mother right??) and it will create complications during delivery.I just want to confirm is it true???

Moreover after my checkup yesterday the doctor is saying that my kid is slightly bigger in size.Does it leads to early delivery or any other complications in delivery. What should i do now??My health is perfectly fine and all blood, urine, heart beat test, scan everything is perfect.Only thing is my tummy is big and doc. is saying the baby is size is more.
