Due Date Club September 2008:Indian Cloth Cradle vs Wooden Cradle

Hi,

I have had a few conversations with my girlfriends about cradles... some of them say that the Indian cloth cradle is better than the wooden one available here in Aus... What do you guys think?

Cheers,
Tanvi

Hi there,

For my son he slept in the crib/craddle from Day 1 until 2 yrs after which we shifted him to his twin bed. he was pretty comfortable. And, we were sleeping peacefully as we dont need to check every now and then whether he gets enough air/he choks the cloth....etc. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages.....If you feel Jula better than craddle/crib - its your call. i personally prefer crib/craddle than jula.

hi kshama....i agree, most ppl doesnt fully utilizes the crib.....the interest they have when buying it is not there when they practise it at home......when you start from day 1 you can definitely bring itas a routine. When buying crib, buy the one which can be converted to twin bed....You have the extra bed to add (they give it as a package) as the child grows....That is what i did for my son, who is 5 yrs old now....

luv,
Jichi

Hi,
I am new to this board.Just joined recently.I too have been talking to a lot of people to decide what to get for our baby.About cribs I have had people tell me it is a total waste as the baby needs a new bed in two or three years and it just is of no use then.Lots of space is also needed. In my case i´ m still going to get one as both me and my husband are sound sleepers and we wouldn´ t want any accidents. My mother feels indian cloth cradles do very nicely after all we slept in them too.
