Me again with another question :)
I completed 29 weeks and into 30th week now. I had an appointment with my doc yesterday. She measured my tummy and said I am measuring 30 cms at 29 weeks. I always want to ask her what should be average and forgot this time too. All the time she says everything is ok. How much are you girls measuring/week and what should be average length. Any idea ?

The fundal height and the week ur in should be the same(i.e, if u are in week 30 your fundal ht should also be 30),if it is more than it is ok, but only if ur fundal height is lesser than ur weeks in pregnancy then the doc might ask u to increase ur diet.
So u dont have to worry about that since ur growing well.

Avi (from Nov board) replied. Hey Anu, Rama is right. After about 20 weeks, the fundal height will be pretty close to your weeks (29 cms is approximately 29 weeks).

Some women reach a threshold at around 35 cms but this depends on the body type.

I am from November board. I asked my dr this same question when I was about 16 weeks..now I am 25 weeks..

so anyways, fundal height is measured from your pubic bone to top of uterus (also known as fundus). Thumb rule is that it should be about the same as the week you are in (in cms..)

meaning, if you are 29 weeks, then your fundal height will be about 29 cms. You measurement looks great.
