Can second-time mom's tell what kind of movements could be felt? I am into 16th week and I am not sure if I can feel some movements though its too early. Y'day I sort of felt some scratch in my lower abdomen suddenly..so was wondering..whether its a movement or some illusion!!!

I am a subscriber from Ivillage and they say that we will start feeling the kicks from 17th week...here's an extract of the newsletter :
WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOUR BABY
Going forward, growth and refinement of your baby's existing systems and organs occurs. Your baby's ears stand out from his or her head. (More or less depending on heredity.)
At 12 centimeters, crown-to-rump, your baby is large enough to give you a good kick in the belly. Within the next month, you should be able to feel this five-ounce wonder throwing his or her weight around.
Unique fingerprings and toeprints are developing.
Meconium, your baby's first bowel movement is beginning to collect in the colon. Your baby is actually digesting swallowed amniotic fluid. At this time, fat deposits will appear under your baby's skin. This fat will help your baby to regulate his or her temperature after birth.
Circulation of blood is now established and the umbilical cord lengthens and thickens in response to the rapidly growing needs of your baby. The placenta and fetus are now almost equal in size.

Thanks SG.
I am also a subscriber of yahoo Pregnancy Calendar and it also tells the same. (You'll feel your first fetal movements (called quickening) between 16 and 20 weeks -- if you don't mistake them for hunger pangs.) I got it today. In my last pregnancy I felt baby movments after 20 weeks. Thanks.

Hi Sheel,
Why do you think in such way doctors would take care of you also.So it is better you do not take any tensions for that which would be better for you only.I hope you would do that.... - Megha [View Message]
