I am from india and my 8 month old girl is quite active but she did not roll till date and nor did she try to crawl. She sits though! her social skills are just perfect. i am worried for her teeths and walking. how can i encourage her to get up and walk. also she is just not enthu enough to get things which are out of her reach. she just plays with things that r accessible, nothin beyond that. is there any food which will help her. doc says she is overweight, arnd 10kgs so she cant move arnd. pl. help i am worried. i dont thing weight should be a prob. but then why she did not roll or behave like other babies? Michael replied. My girl was doing exactly the same thing. At 9 kgs she was not far on the weight category either. Today at 11 months, she started crawling last week. We found her doing the crawl one fine day. No advance warning. So hold on... and yes keep the camera ready... they dont give advance warning. Carrie replied. Most Babies don't walk until they are 11-12 months or even later, i'm not sure what date you said she rolled over or crawled, but all babbies are different and develop differently. Do you try to give your baby tummy time? Because it gives your baby strenth in her head, and arms. she might beable to figure out that she can reach for something not way to far so she just gives up, and not to close, she wont beable to see it. my son is 5 months old and weighs 16 pounds-my ped. told me that he is just fine-
I'm not sure how much 10kgs is but i think its close to 18lbs?? i woldnt be worred about her weight if she is 18lbs....but im not a doctor just a mommy!!---hope i helped.
