I have been trying a lot of various home remedies on my hair and my daughters' hair since I wanted to give the best look without it being harsh and damaging and also...expensive.
Vinegar is something I found to be very effective for the hair...
--after shampooing hair, rinse in lukewarm water and drench hair in white vinegar and comb through. Do no rinse out, the vinegar smell will go away soon even before the hair is fully dry, when the smell of vinegar subsides, you will be left with sweet, clean smell.
This is good to do regardless of how often you wash your hair.
Vinegar also helps detangle hair, keep it softer, it adds tremendous shine, natural shine...the kind that we all want.
If you have problems with dandruff, this will help rid you hair of it, it neutralizes the scalp and makes the scalp in better condition; not dry at all.
One good thing is, here in the US, a gallon of white vinegar cost far less than even a generic brand bottle of shampoo, and, it is found in most grocery stores in the aisle where baking goods are kept.
Both my daughers are little girls and I keep their hair long, I decided not to cut it since they have big ringlet curls...it is fairly easy to keep.
