Kids & Food:Anyone knows about Jaiphal?

My son is 10 months old and sleeps very little during the day. I was told that putting jaiphal in his milk or food will help him sleep well. Any one knows about this? Also, do u know any other food that acts as a relaxant and helps babies sleep?

Hi Veena,

I liked your method. Do you know how often you have to give this? Do you get Jaiphal paste in India?

Thanks

I am not sure of any paste available, but you get jaiphal in the market and the way chandan is made from a chandan stich, similary you could rub it on a flat surface and make a paste out of it on a daily basis.

My child is 8 months old. I give him a dose of jaiphal, haldi, tulsi leaves and ajwain on a daily basis. I am not sure if it helps in sleeping but, its a good ayurvedic medicine to keep children protected from cough and cold.
