Hi all,

Is it safe & alright to go to beauty parlours when are pregnant ? say, for waxing,threading etc?
Are there some precautions that have to be taken?

Hi Soumi,
Stay away from chemicals like hair colors or dyes becos they are dangerous.
Also I was told by few people that applying Henna is not good. It seems this causes the breast milk to dry up. So it will be a problem for feeding the baby after its birth.

Can anyone clarify on this?

I'm from the Nov 2006 group...I dunno how far its true but even in our families its totally forbidden to apply henna..neither on hands nor in the hair. Seems to be an age old tradition, but I guess the reason behind this would be something similar to what you have referred.
