I am really sad now. I had an hsg test recently and found out the my both tubes are blocked. after the hsg, the radiologist told me that my left tube might be blocked. But when i got the result on the next day from my doctor, both tubes are blocked... I am very worried now. I didnt feel any pain during the HSG test and I dont see any reason for my tubes to be blocked as i never had any infection or anything. Plus I got pregnant 3 months back naturally on clomid, even saw the hear beat, but unfortunately miscarried on the 7th week as the beta count was not doubling.... So if my tubes are blocked, how did i get pregnant??? so many questions in my mind... If the tubes are really blocked, my only option will be ivf. Can anybody tell me the ivf procedure and its success rate? is it a painful procedure? i am 26 and living in usa. I am really worried as i never ever thought that my tubes might be blcoekd as i got pregnant once. I am planning to see an infertility specialist...Please help me...

I had two ectopic pregnancies (first in the right tube and then in the left tube.) My right tube had to be removed because it had burst and was an emergency. I waited for almost 6 months and had my left tube tested thru HSF. The left tube looked fine and then I coneceived again but unfortunately again it was tubal pregnancy. I had to undergo a surgery to have it removed. My left tube is present but might not function correctly. I was in the US then. I have moved back to India now. The only option for me is IVF. In your case, I would suggest have ur tubes tested my another doctor. If you already conceived , then your tubes should be normal. IVF in US is very expensive. I am currently undergoing my second IVF cycle and I have conceived but my beta HCG is not looking so good/normal after 5 weeks. I am really stressed out and wanted someonve to revive my hopes. I dont want to loose hopes and want to be a fighter. I pray for you and suggest you to have a second opinion. jill replied. MG, Get the second opinion from other doctors. I believe blockages can be rectified. Wait till appointment.

yes, definitely ivf is an option. It is 2-4 months process. success rate is around 40% i believe.in usa it is costly procedure. In india it is cheaper. Be confident.
