Is anyone pursuing acupuncture to treat back pain related problems during pregnancy? I have severe back pain and am ready to try anything! Please let me know.

Suni how come yaar back pain?

Hope u know accupuncture itself is painful they use needles to poke at u whereas accupressure is more like massage therapy at certain trigger points.But accupuncture has higher success but now may not be a good time.Have u tried getting massages with hubby or use heat fomentation like heat wraps or hot water bottle to relieve local spasm.Also take more rest maybe it is your posture or there must be some factor to cause so much pain.
Don't wear heels only flat comfy slip on's/sandals.
Also always support your back with a li'l cushion.Do let us know how u r faring&take care!!

Hi Manvi,

My backpain is in the upper back and I guess it is my spine acting up, I have had a spinal problem for a long time now and with the baby weight it is getting worse.
I decided against acupuncture(will definitely do it after the pregnancy). But as you said the results are really good with acupuncture. Instead this morning, I went for a one hour massage therapy, and ohhhhhh, it felt like heaven. I will now go every week. Even without back pain I would recommend this to everyone, coz it is such pampering. I should have done it sooner.....
