I read your birth Story in JULY 2004 board.I read that u also had problem with BreastFeeding First.Iam also having someproblem with BF.My Son Ritvik is 2 weeks old now.He latches on to my Breast and within 10mts he goes of to sleep,then slowly he sucks ,sucks and goes of to sleep.If i put him down within Half-an-Hour he again asks for my milk.But he wet his diapers as soon as he has my milk.Iam really confused ,wether my milk is not enough or he is not sucking properly.But whenever he latches on i can hear him swallowing.I give him Formula atleast ones a day.I dont want him to starve.

Iam having milk,Garlic,then saboodhana kheer ,all sorts.

Can anyone help me out.Archie i need ur help.Is anyone facing the same situation.

-Ramya sunshine1 replied. i forgot to mention abt diaper.Yes they wet more often usually after every feed.They poop or pee normal baby needs 10 to 12 diapers a day.min 6 to 7 times they poop.wetting is a good sign that he is getting enough food.

what ur son is doing is very normal.They cannt suck cont with there small mouth.my son do the same.his ped told thats the way they do.for the first 4days he didnt leave my breast he hang there all day while sleeping also.Now little ok.but he will start sucking freq.if he grows he can take little more milk and sleep little long.U r giving formula also so his tummy is full dotn worry abt it.Just feed him when he needs.
