Hi
My son is 5 months old and doesnot sleep in the night he sleeps in the day time specially early morning till noon again evening till night 8.00 m . This is contining since beging. Can any one suggest why it is so.

Amit Dey Priya replied. Hi, I have been through it so i know what excatly u are talking about. Try to do what everyone says, massaging & bath at night, feed him well, do not talk to him in night,and Don't play with him. Make sure lights are dim and no matter how much he cries u do not light the room.
BUT most imp is to break this routine. What i did after too much research was ,took him out among people during his sleep time so that he can't sleep well , make sure to give him regular naps or rests, cause the child who doesn't sleep in day can't sleep in night, i tried to keep my son awake in day but he didn't sleep in night as well, he became 24 hrs baby, sleeep 24 hrs and play 24 hrs kinds. so make sure he takes regualr naps. then do everything to put him sleep in night, what we did was take him on car ride cause rocking make him sleep, he resisted, cried in car for some time, but slept for few hrs. This broke his day routine and gradually working on same principal he started sleeping in night. Make sure u make a routine (masssage bath etc) and u follow that daily. cause he can swtich back to original routine again very easily.
Deepali replied. If you are giving him milk at the night stop it right now. that could be the main reason he is getting up in the night. to stop the habbit try giving him water whenever he gets up in the night.

I Have a 5 months baby girl & what I do is give her a warm bath & feed her well at night so she sleeps well & in the morning try & keep your son awake & do not let him sleep in the evening , read to him & play with him & so he will get tired at night & go to sleep, I hope this helps you.
