I know all of us are in the midst of aches and pains and blues and ofcourse ANTICIPATION too.
Suddenly my nesting instinct popped up. I fought with hub that we havent bought even a single thing for the babies.
I spoke to my frends and with internet also on my side I am prepared to shop in one day in BabiesRUS
Some of my frends wanted to come with us, but I dont want anyone, coz I want to choose what I like, I know they are exp but too much of intereference I feel sometimes.
Has anyone of u started shopping, We r aiming for this weekend.
Its really thrilling and exciting to shop for the baby first time, though my mom already bought clothes and jewels in India for babies, stil this is my first shopping for them...
Any suggestions girls as to what brand is good for diapers/toileteries etc etc...

I hope things r fine with u..I know how exciting to shop 4 our babies..so far i have bought a travel system ,matress. crib is still on itz way.....i will be getting it in week r so..itz good to shop earlier,as if u need to change something u will get a window period like i did with my travel sys.. i bought one model last mon & exchanged it to other one last week..good luck 4 ur shopping..takecare

Did my first shopping !!

Hi Bargavi,
we bought the crib and mattress for our baby yesterday..It was such a nice crib cannot resist to purchase..
Now our next big shopping will be travel system..after that only little things will remain also we can not do all shopping in a day (so tiring) so just do shopping of one or two items everytime u shop..

Thats true maybe u cant buy in 1 day. I have a pretty big list, quite overwhelming to look at.
But I wanna be done with it soon. Also I have a frend who works for BabiesRUs. She gets good discount coz she is an employee so I wanted to be done in 1 day, she can come when I bill my stuff.
I dont have to trouble her many times that was my idea. Lets see how it works.
Also what crib did u buy? Is it the one that converts to toddler bed?

Hi Bargavi,

It is nice to hear that ur going to start shopping, but finishing it in one day is not a good idea.As our due date draws nearer we r going to feel more and more restless, so at that time if u have some thing to do it would be great.And what more would relax us than shopping.
For the brands, my friends and cousins suggested some ....
for milk bottles - avent
diapers - pampers
toiletries- johnsons/ aveeno
I beleive you would already know that before using any baby blankets, clothes, wash cloths etc....we have to wash them.It seems that we should not use the same detergent we use for our clothes, there is a detergent called dreft for the babies.

Yaa I agree its better to shop for a few dys. I have been window shopping all baby stores since few weeks.
Since I am having twins I dont want to go out after 33/34 weeks. Jus to be on safe side. I am now in 31st week so wanna be done with it soon. But u guys have the luxury of going out till the last weeks to shop..
