Due Date Club April 2004:1-cm dilated

My due date is April 18th. Today I had an appointment
and my doctor checked internally and said that I am 1-cm dilated.
Can anyone tell me how much time it will take approximately to
dilate upto 6-cm.

Hi Goldi,
No one can say how much time will take to dilate 1 to 3/4. My due date is 22nd april. From my 37 week I am dilated 1cm. I read some women dilated 1cm for weeks.
But when u reach 3/4 dilation will be fast. for first pregnancy 1 hr for 1cm dilation.
doctor said early dilation is good. It helps shorten labor period.
