I started breast-feeding Ritvik as soon as he is born.But for first two days he didnt suck properly,but afterwords he was fine.Actucally from yesterday he is not having my milk.He is not latching properly.I get milk ,i pump and give it to him,but still i feel thats not enough.My Doc suggested to Consult lactation people.Still i feel so bad that he is not having latching properly.Today i fed him Enfamil Formula.Archie i need your advice.I feel my breast is engorged.I tried to pump manually and tried to feed him.he is not latching.Archie pls help.
Shanthi replied. Dont worry..its not ur fault. Even i had the same problem. But its definitely a good idea to talk to a lactation consultant once. They are experienced ppl and they can help u better. U can register for counselling by phone and they call u once in a week/month depending on how u want it. They give u so many tips n advices.

Meanwhile, try continuing the pump too. The main idea is the baby to have breast milk. \";how he gets it\"; - doesnt really matter.

Also, its alrite if u are alternating formula and breastmilk. Even am doing the same. As long as ur baby is being fed .. and is not hungry .. its fine!
