congrats to all of u! i am in my 2 trimester, and rite from the start, i have been having this doubt in my mind.... is there any way u can actually enhance ur chances of having a normal delivery? i have heard that a section delivery always results in a lot of complications for the mother at a later date. ofcourse, due to certain unavoidable and \";beyond natural reasons\"; we may need to undergo a section delivery, but is there anything that we can do to try and have a normal delivery as far as possible?? niki replied. I wish it wud be possible to avoid c-section. Through out my pregnancy i had been doing regular walking & been as active as possible....... & i was dialated 3 cms, when i went to hospital. I dialated untill 9 cms, & i was happy that in a while i will push & the baby will be out. When doc came she said i was only 8 cms & so more time to go. Later in next 3 hours, the baby got into akward position & i didnt progress at all. It was time for me to go & get C -Section & i was so shocked with what had happened. Later when i talked to other people i knew its all HORMONES! Infact before 35 years, My mother in laww had the same problem at the delivery...... After having 3 normal delivery, in the last delivery, she had the same problem that there was no progress 7 she got c- section..... So i am very much sure that one canot avoid c- section. Infact it is only done to get the baby safely out & keep him alive......Unlike olden days when there were lots of still birth etc......
