Hey Archie n all my frenz..
Sorry for getting back to u a lil late. I delivered a cute baby boy on 19th of Jan. As u all know , I was scheduled for a C-section on the 23rd .. but very unexpectedly my water broke on 19th. One week before my due date. It was quite a surprise to b honest ... we were looking forward for an Aquarian but we dint know .. a Capricorn was on the way :-)
Anyways, I called my hubbie almost immediately and my mom meanwhile helped me to get changed and Thank God .. our hospital bags were ready too. All the cameras n handycams charged ..!! I was admitted around 12 PM and they checked the baby's heart beat and also performed a quick ultrasound - still breeched!! We took a couple of snaps with my tummy :-)
There were no contractions at all .. ofcourse i had some slight stomach ache. We waited for more than a couple of hrs .. coz the operation theatres were full :-) They took me to the theatre around 3:00 PM and gave me a spinal. I always heard that spinals are almost painless .. may be I freaked out .. it wasnt a very pleasant experience for me , to b honest!! I dont wanna scare any of u guys .. I guess it differs from person to person.
Anirudh arrived at 3:30 PM .. my mom and my hubbie were with me all the time. I was then stitched up .. dissolvable stitches, btw. By the time i came back to the room .. Anirudh was ready with all the tests done.. for the first feed ..!! :-)
I was discharged on 22nd itself .. but i should tell u .. remarkable recovery!! I was almost normal .. except for a few body pains. And the place where i was stitched.. it looks like thin pencil line. U just cant tell a difference except for the lil line .. cool, isnt it?!!
Its been only a week now .. and i am spending most of the time bonding n nursing my lil one .. doing my things n occassionally helping my mom in the kitchen. I am taking pain killers once in a while. Sometimes i get too tired .. but after a couple of hrs of sleep .. am back to normal.
We are having a great time with our lil prince. He is kinda getting adjusted. Its a great experience guys...!!
Good luck to all those mom-to- be s :-) Hope u all have a safe delivery too..!!
Take care..!!
