Hi girls,

Today my doc. told me that my GT is very high.Now I have to go for 3 hr. test.I am so much worried.
what should I do to get the result normal.And you know what these days I am craving for sweets.Though since my 4-5 months I was not eating the sweets..:)

Please tell me what to do..I have my test now on Monday.Also what should I eat before the test ,I mean after dinner I don't have to eat anything (i guess...also can't I even drink water in the night)..

Dont worry... I know its a matter of tension. Even I have failed the one hr test and will be taking the 3 hr test on Wed. I have totallu stopped eating anything with sugar. Eat more chapatis and cut down rice as rice has carbs.....I hope we will clear the 3 hr test. ALl the Best!!!!

Don't worry. As you know few of us failed in 1hr test and got through 3 hr test. I am sure you will defenitely get through 3 hr test. Avoid eating sweets and etc. Follow as Nick says below. You should be fine. Don't let this keep you down. OK.

Don't worry.Just don't eat anything sweet 2-3 days before the 3 hr one.
And GD is not dependent on what we eat.It has got to do more with hereditary factors rather than us.
U need to starve for 12 hours before the 3 hr one.And follow this strictly as whatever u eat previously might have carbs that can interfere with the GT.

And eat more proteins and cut down on carbs.
