Don' t try to keep her up during the day. This will make the night' s problem worse. In fact make sure she gets enough naps during the day. Put her in a place conducive to sleep as soon as she shows signs of tiredness. They usually feel tired within 2 to 3 hours of the last nap. This way she will not be too wound up by night-time and will sleep well then too.
Also, for the colic, burp her regularly and give her a hot water bottle to keep against her tummy during the day. at night swaddle her, put her on her side, shush her loudly and rock her rapidly in small movements from side to side. It will help her to calm herself.
For more advice on sleep and calming a baby look at the websites of Elizabeth Pantley and Harvey Karp respectively.

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
