Be relaxed. I had an elecive c-section because of High BP. Nowadays it has become very common to have a csection.
some woman prefers to have it to eliminate labour pain. Also you can schedule your baby's birth for a particular date(around ur EDD. Actually it is the safest option for delivery you little one.
Obviously, expensive than normal. You might have to stay atleast 3 days in the hospital after delivery. You should definitly have some one always near you for atleast one week to help you, like lifting the baby, help you in nursing the baby, etc. also you will feel little discomfort to feed the baby on its day one since you wont be able to sit for one or two days and you will be only on intravenous fluid for two days.
Maximum of 4 days you will feel some discomfort. After that definitely you will enjoy and have fun with your baby. That is for sure. All the best. Be happy.

RE:C-Section
C-sections are planned when the mother wishes to escape the labor pain or in emergencies like if the cord is entangled around the baby's neck and the baby's life is at risk. But i think natural delivery is always a better option.... - Neeta [View Message]
