i have a 7 mon old son.how many times on an average should i breastfeed him?i m giving him solids as well

Hi Priya,

I have a 7 month old baby too. I breastfed her 3 to 4 times a day . She takes twice or thrice during the night. she is taking solids as well. so, i think as long as the baby looks satisfied after your feed, u needn't worry abt the quantity . They wil be cranky if the milk is not sufficient after the feed. Minimum 3 times i think u should breast feed him. hope i cleared the doubt.

A month old baby who eats solids should eat 18-24 oz of milk per day.

According to my gyno, I have some special hormones due to which i can easily lactate and due to that my motherly instincts are extremely high. I was lactating until 1 yr back & I still can induce if i want to breastfeed anyone.
