folks, i started going to work when my kid was 4 months old ..now she is almost 6 months old but she doesnt take to BM anymore, she cries and doesnt latch on ..she is fine with bottle and other semi solids that i give her ...i am continuing her on formula and other stuff but am really guilty that she doesnt feed from me ..what can i do ..i need to be at work and am wondering whether that has decreased my production & if that is frustrating my baby ..is it sufficient that i fed her atleast 2ce for these 6 months ..what do u folks think ... mandeep replied. hi dear i dont think there is any need to be gulity, u have gave your baby a good start atleast she took bm for 4 months. i know they say bm till 6 months but there can be many reasons where mother cant full fill the requirement. i want my son to bf but that did not work for us from start so i started him on bottle on 3rd day after he was born . so he use to get 2 or 3 feed of bm rest all formula. n by the time he was 3 months old he was no more on bm. one think more i would like to say here is (may be i am wrong) i have notice that babies who r only on bm for 6 months r not keen on taking bottles or formula milk which is quite frustrating, so if your baby is happy with her fm let her. keep trying to give her bm but make sure make it a happy thing not furstration for yourself and n your baby.
