Name: Nithya Hi All,

Im a mom to a 27 months old boy , my son he is very very active and because of that its hard for me to teach him anything , so far he knows all of his body parts , fruits name + some animal name , i tried my best to teach him numbers and alphabets , but no success so far . friends pls share with me how do u all manage to teach ur kids and how long does it takes them to learn . I feel bad that i cannot teach my son . Pls advice me ....

Mel replied. Thank YOU Ruma for being such a good sport and taking it in the right manner. It´ s hard to find people who take feedback so positively.
Mel replied. Yes, Ruma is right, you get floor jigsaw puzzles with the alphabet. (Ruma, ' A' ' B' ' C' ' D' are LETTERS in THE ALPHABET. NOT alphabets. It' s the ALPHABET. The English Alphabet, Spanish Alphabet, etc.)
Anyway, You also get Flash Cards at Book Shops like Crossword, Landmark, etc. which have nice colourful pictures of fruits, etc on Cardboard Cards and when you pull them apart, it reveals the number. These can be a fun way to teach him. Don' t spend every waking moment trying to teach him. Designate some time in the day, maybe an hour in the evening or so, which he can identify as a structured learning time of the day, but keep it light and playful, so it does not get monotonous. Let him look at books with the Letters of the Alphabet or Numbers. But, don' t pressurize him. 1)Alphabate- Do you know the rhyme ABCDEFG.....
you can get the CD or sing that song.

2)Number - Teach him number through counting. like one nose , two hands..that way he will learn number as well as counting.

9.5 months milestones

My DS is 9.5 months old and does not clap wave or point at things !! I will put down a list which he is good at and which one worries me.

He is good at :
