hi! i need some advise on adopting my sisters 8 year old daughter.
My sister passed away 4 years ago and her daughter is staying
with my parents since then. My brother in law has remarried and never cared for his child since my sister passed away. I live in US and dont have any children and was hoping to adopt legally . Any advise and info would
be greatly served. thanks in advance.

The fact that u dont have a child makes it all the more better for u to foster and take care of ur sisters child. All the best to you, its a good deed. Trishla replied. I think it is a wonderful idea to persue this and what better way than to foster one of your own family member. Just one advise u need to get a legal document made on behalf of ur brother in law. His consent on this arrangement is required especially with the view to safeguard childs interest. childs life.

On the other hand u must handle this situation in a delicate manner especially with the child. Child must be under tremendous stress, due to loss of mother & becoz of the fathers distance.
