Can someone please tell me whether a baby who is adopted needs to be told that they were adopted at some point in their life?

My wife and I would like to adopt, but I am sot sure how it will affect the child once grown up if they come to know they were adopted and whether they should be told they were adopted.

Can someone please shed some light on this for me...

hi john,
yes its very important tat ur child knows through u that he/she has been adopted rather than learning the truth through other sources. u have to have an interesting way to convey tat to ur child and make the child feel special at the same time.
