Hi friends, I am currently residing in US & am 24 weeks pregnant and was told by the doctor today that I have to get my rhogam shot( I am rh negative) by end of august. But I am planning to go to India by the first week of september so I thought I will get my shots there itself before my 30th week. Will this delay pose any danger to my baby since the doc has asked me to take the shots by 28th week. I am very confused whether to take the shots here or in India? Has anyone taken this shot by the 30th week? Is it very risky to delay it for more than 28 weeks? It would be great if someone could advise me what to do. Thanks!!!

i will suggest you not to delay the shots. take it in 28th week, is there any particular reason you want to take the shots in India?

Hope you are doing fine.Sorry i don't know anything about this.But i think u must discuss it with your doctor and ask them whether you can have it in 30th week after you reach india.Or else ask them whether you can have it now.I think its good to discuss with your doctor about this.Or else try to collect the information from india regarding which week they give these shots there.I think no body in this board is rh neg.All the best.Take care.

Hi Kalyani & Manisha,
Thanks for replying to my query. I too feel that I should directly approach the doctor in India and ask them when is the time limit for this procedure and then do accordingly. There is no particular reason for doing it in India but since the dates when I am travelling to India were nearer to this appointment thats why I thought of doing it there. Anyways thanks a lot gals...I really appreciate it. Hope you mommies are enjoying ur pregnnacy:-)
