Ok, i got highlights the other night. and i dont like the color. but i dont wanna dye my hair back to its original color. so does neone kno maybe how long it takes for highlights to grow out??? thanks for the help.

Hi,
I would say that in some cases, I have seen the highlights gradually fade out, meaning, the color slowly looses it's luster. I would suggest you go to a reputable salon and have them to do a touch up to cover the highlights. I will take as much time it is normally takes to grow out hair if you want to grow it out.

How much lighter are the highlights than your normal hair color?

Once I did a simple highlight on my hair. My natural hair color is reddish brown and this highlights came out to be a sandy blonde. Over time since I didn't redo the highlights, they eventually just blended in and looked very natural; actually, they looked quite natural after I had them for a couple of weeks.

Let me know your natural hair color and what system you used to lighten it, please.

ok, my hair color is a light brown, kinda dirty blonde. so i got like blond ehighlights. but they kinda look more yellow. i jus used a herbal essence highlighting kit. but i jus dont like it ya kno. maybe i need to get used to it. it might take time for me to really like it. thanks for the help. alissa
