Hi,
My baby is 2 months old. Since his birth he is having problem to digest breast milk. He is passing loose stools continuously(though very small quant, the area becomes red a lot).
Dr is saying he is having lactose intolerence. In between we tried giving him nestum (rice+ragi), his loose motions stopped, no problems.
Again when breast milk started, problem reappears. And we cannot stop breast milk.

Another problem is -
He cries a lot a lot prior to urinate and stopped as it passes. I have read the dietary solutions in other msgs (by hetal), tried also but no help.

What to do in both problems??
Plz help....

gauri replied. it is not bm that is harming but soemthing wrong with your diet....
even i ddnt know this...till my mil told me she was very strict about what i eat...i wud eat whatever she use to gv me to eat ...touchwood my daughter never had any prob of colic ..indesgestion...gas anything...
for 3 months strictly i had warm water..use to eat mostly chapatis..my diet included 2 glasses of milk...soem kada she had made..n never never allowed me to touch any pulses for 3 motnhs....no starchy things...no baigan n potato...list of donts was more than do' s...no cold stuff..believe me it made a difference..initally whatever u eat it affects ur babies health atleast for frist 3 motnhs...or till ur only bf ur baby.... kajal replied. my baby had same problem. i stopped feeding her and it helped.
she is not having any problems eversince we started soy formula.
why don' t you try that ?

the dietary solutions by hetal will help only if your child is a normal child and not having any kind of allergy.unless you have ref to some message where the baby is having lactose intolerance and she has given reply.i am visiting these boards past 4-5months but i didn' t find those replies. can you post if you have. so that i can try it on my baby with normal formula ? it feels sad to me to offer baby soy formula.i feel as if she is missing something.

for my sister newborn hetal' s tips helped. but for my baby it didn' t help that is what i figured out about the soltions given by hetal.
