Name: Mansi Hi,

Can anyone tell me how often we should do an ultra sound? I did went to 2 gyn's and the one I chose didnt recommend an U/S for me till I complete my 3rd month. The other doc recommend one in my 6th week to try to hear babies heart beat. My appointment for that is in the coming week. So I am confused abt taking a decision on which doc's suggestion should I take. Please let me know what your doc's said to u?

i have already had 2 u/s and am in my 10th wk , i had one when i confirmed by home test that i was preg. but the doctor couldnt detect the heart beat. the second i had to detect the heart beat, i am yet to have my third visit,
i too asked the doctor abt the effects of u/s , and was told that its harmless.

I am in my 11th week and have had 4 U/S so far. The first one was on the first day of my missed period itself. This was because I had an ectopic in Jan and the doc wanted to make sure that it was not a repeat. She's told me that it is totally safe and that there is no history of harm caused by U/S.
