Hi ,
I am also on the same boat as Vindhya,my tummy also does'nt look like a 8 month pregnant tummy.Somebody told me that u will have a small tummy if u are carrying a girl.Is it true??Of course I will love to have a girl, but I just wanted to reason it out.It might be totally psychological as my doc says the fundal measurements are good. And as Pranjal,U/S shows my baby also 2 weeks ahead in trems of growth, but the doc said that it does'nt mean that I will deliver 2 weeks earlier. It is just that the baby is towards the healthier side and all these keep on changing.

pranjal replied. Hey Jaya,
I am a medium built person and not tall too ... i am not showing too much though doc is saying it is healthy baby..so do not worry...it differes from person to person.......
Vindhya replied. Hi Jaya,
Sorry that you are in the same situation. I didn't want anybody to be in this plight. It just doesn't allow us to enjoy our respective pregnancies.
I feel embarassed to tell that I am due in November.
Whenever we visit the doctor, my husband keeps telling her that I am so worried about my small tummy, but she doesn't seem to care as the fundal height is fine. But, even that is lesser by half a week. When I was 28 weeks, it measured 27 1/2. I don't know what is going on. Where is all my weight gain going?
I am an average built person, neither small nor big.
Oops, I am venting too much. Sorry for this depressing message.
Regarding determining the sex by the size of the tummy, like Simmi said, it should just be another old wives tale.
Jaya,
I would say not to worry. Let's all be positive so we don't stress ourselves out. This would hamper our babies health even more.
Take care,
Vindhya
hetal replied. HI JAYA,
Actualy tummy is small or more that is depend of your height and fatness. u must be heighted and thin so ur tummy is not out at the time of my first baby i hv a same problem but my baby come two days later so do not worry every case is diff, and if ur baby is back side than also it happen. u must hv a back pain if ur baby is more on back so do not worry and take rest and take more rest and more food that help u better

Vandana replied. Hi Jaya. I'm going thru the same situation, my tummy does not at all look like an 8 months one. Infact, I feel so out of place in my CB classes, everyone there is so huge as compared to me! But as long as your Doc says everything is fine, and your fundal height is measuring right, there is no reason to worry.
I have not heard about size of tummy determining the sex of the baby, thats a new one for me:)
Take Care

Simmi replied. Hi Jaya. I don't think size of the tummy indicates the gender of the baby. Could be more of the tales stuff. It is more to do with the build of the person, if u were small built, meaning not overweight etc then u would not show the gain so much or if u r tall then too ur tummy won't show the weight u have put on. But till the time the baby's growth is normal, there should be no concern with the size of the tum! Ur bundle of joy could be boy or girl....enjoy the suspense!
I think your doc is right about delivery early or not don't depend on the size of the baby yet as the baby will be growing much more in the coming weeks and until the baby is ready to come out, u can't predict nothing!
Have a good weekend all!

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.
