My 18 months old just does not want her dad around her all of a sudden since a few days
She has always been very close to her dad ever since she was born and it hurts to see her behave this way all of a sudden.Can you suggest what could be the reason as there has been no untoward incident that could have sparked this emotion outburst???? Hetal replied. its perfectly normal for kids from 18 mnths to 26mnths, to select one parent at a time !
this phase, keep it simple, keep patience n allow her that freedom..your daughtr is not in her own control,,she is going thru emotional outburst n is still learng to get control of her thoughts,her actions, her motion and her skills,,includes all this behaviour patterns..
for some weeks she will not want to go to her dad,,the others she will say \" mommy is bad ! \" ...just keep it calm, dont react,,just ask why..keep asking,,she might nott answer but at the same time, after a while she might happn to tell you in action or pretend play what actions of parents annoyed her !! you will have keep a close eye on her actions..sometimes, dads pamper thr daughtrs alot,,and now that 18mnths n preparng themselves for terrible two' s the age where they like to independent,,they might not like it..
whenver she does that, just break her sentence or thoughts n divert her to something that interest her..it will help in the long run as thr memory is short n the mood is divertd to something she is interestd in..
you yourself as a mother, talk to your husband, and have a nice time,,kids watch thr parents talking and they mark thr sentiments,,nd it will help somewhat..

just ask your husband, not to feel bad about it,,its normal for kids to do this for several days,,,being mother of 2 now,my elder one is in her terrible twos..one day she cant stop kissing me the other she will tell me that mummy you are not good :)
i answer i know..dear..its okay..n my dh takes over..after few mins she pretend plays n tells me that she didnt like somethings that i did !! if it was nothng,,she toldme i made a mess :) when i was cleaning my kitchen...
kids sometimes mark many a things that they notice and we have no idea what they are thinking..once they are the age of expressng themselves..they do it very beautifully...
but as of now,,jst asnwer her, i know dear, its okay, aww,,and such lovely emotions...n let the other parent take over..dont force,it might irritate her more...
