Sleeping:sleeping problem? here´ s some help

Hi,

I have been going through some of the messages on this board on mothers you have problems with kids not sleeping.

My son is six and a half month old sleeps fairly well at night (gets up once, sometimes). He would get up 2-3 times, sometimes more... It changed when I started giving him suji kheer or rawa kheer at night.

With a full stomach a baby sleeps pretty well. Another thing my doc told me to do, which I havent succeeded in doing is to give the baby water when he or she gets up.

She said that it will cry for a day or two and then know that it is not getting the milk. They then sleep through the night.

I havent been successful since I do not like my baby crying at night. I' d rather feed him. This can be of concern though when they have teeth. A friend of mine actually had to do root canal for her 4-year old because the baby would feed at night.

Well.... sigh, so many things to remember. Do try this. The ideal time to give a baby her/his dinner is between 8-9 pm. They can then sleep fitfully until 5 am.

All the best, moms!

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
