My baby(boy) is 15 days old...was born on 25th april, her mother is no able to produce enough milk out of her breast.. tried many times...used manual pump also.. so we are giving him cow´ s milk. And mother also feed milk whenever comes.

Since last four days the patches of blood are coming in combination with his potty. After doctor visit , he said that this is due to internal infection and said that injection will be given for 5 days or so!. Please suggest on this . I m very much nervous about it. is it normal for new born babies? reply asap

Hrishul hello replied. I have a 2 month old baby and I had bf problems as well. Now my baby is on formula. Never give cow milk for baby under 1 yr old. They can never digest that. Blood in stool is due to lactose intolerance which is due to cow milk. Start immediately on formula ,if there' s blood in stool, switch to soy formula.
Im surprised the ped never had anything to comment on cow' s milk.

Please ask your wife to try Lactare tablest they assist in milk production.. It helped me tremendously.. my milk supply doubled.. also she can add satavrex powder to her milk. helps a lot.. read messahe \" using Menthi\" will help a lot..

i had already posted my reply earlier in this msg board rgds breast feeding..i a mother of 2 month old baby and faced the worst of bf situtaions one has ever faced.i was unable to produce milk for 30 days ..but breast milk is the best for babies and if u want ur baby to be healthy u shud give breast milk. ask u r wife to not loose hope as it takes time for many mothers to feed babies. dont loose hope and determination is the best key of sucess here.till the time u r unable to give suffient milk give formola milk like NAN1 or lactogen1 to baby after consultng u r doctor. but this may result in sum constipitation so ask u r doc for that silution also. i used feed my baby 4-5 times in awith formola milk 30-60 ml each time. and breast feed every 1 hr.
it was very painfull but now i hv almost stopped formola and started with bf exclusively.sum badies are weak and take time to produce enough milk and more u r child tries to take feed the more milk is generated.. so dont loose hope keep trying and i am sure u will succed and bf' ng will soon bcom a pleasure for u r wife then a nightmare. all the best.. and enjoy u r toime with the bay ..anbd remember attitude cums first. sheeba replied.
