Hi,
My son is 9 month old and is on the following diet pattern:
Morning : Cerelac coupled with milk
Noon : Rice with dal and vegetables
Evening : Fruits
Night : Rice with dal and vegetables
In between, he will have juices and other snacks. The issue is at night we have to feed him milk twice at 2 hour interval. He doesnot drink milk when he is awake. How do we prevent this. Further, he does not eat much at night. He has two cute tooth peeping up.Please advice

Hi all,

My son now 4 years old. he used to get up at night for his milk till he is 2 years. i dont think it is unusual. As far as i know from my family and friends all kids will get up for milk during night. I have seen my cousins kids waking up at night too.

I think this helps you.

hi,
when i read ur msg i couldnt help but reply....my son too is 8 1/2 mnths now.....this is wat i feed him....morning biscuits with milk.....afternoon rice dal n vegetables mashed with milk.......evening cerelac......night again the rice n milk combination.....inbetween in the evening few bites of some fruit.....he refuses to take milk during day so i mix it with all his food.....at night he too gets up twice for milk in spite of having a full dinner.....i tried giving him bottle milk at night when he wakes upbut he wants my feed only.....i really dont thnk its the reason of not having the quota of milk during the day cos when i used to feed him during the day still he used to get up t night.....
One more thing i wanted to ask u if ucud tell me wat other snacks ur feeding him inbetween during the day....
I hope wefind a soln for baby waking up soon....

Hi There, I am currently reading this book called no cry sleep solution and one of the things it mentions is feeding your baby right in the day time. I have a 7 mo baby who does more or less the same thing. Reading your note, I identified hte problem right away, you need to make sure that your baby is drinking the milk during the day time. What the book says is that babies who wake at night for feeds is becasue they havent had their quota for the day and night time they try to make up for it. Somehow make him have milk in the day time, hopefully that will work. My daughter has now moved to one feed in the 2 times that she wakes up. Its definitly better but still needs improvement... good luck to you.

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]

Hi dear this is good to see that you are taking so much care about your kid but then is your kid following this pattern as my kid has a very odd hours sleep and wake up timings and by that we all get affected as my husband is having morning shifts so its very difficult.... - Anu [View Message]
