Milestones:12months old not standing without support

hi
my son is 12months old . he is very active and his wt. is good ( 10.5kgs).
he will crawl, sit and stands and walks with support.
i am worrying i heard from my friends, their children started walking independly by their first b'day.
our ped told no need to worry , normally children walks upto 16months.
but i am getting worried, when any says \";still he is not walking\";.
are there any tips to encourage him to stand and walk indepently.

same is with my baby but its fine because many of my friends kids started walking only arnd 16 or 17 months
you just have to wait without worrying

One year old milestones !! Worried
Hello Mommies !!!
My son is one year old and he is not doing few things a one year should do !!
He does not point at things
He does not say Amma or any words
He does not pick up any objects and show to me

9.5 months milestones
