From experience, these foods help increase milk quantity :
1) oats - in any form, even 2/3 times a day.
2) bread - snack on sandwiches.
3) huge glasses of milk.
4) frequent glasses of water, esp. indicated when your lip/skin gets dry.
5) wheat in any form - esp. wheat halwa with ghee :).
6) Pear, dates, badam.
If in India, Lactare Ayurvedic capsules (TTK Pharma) are safe (I check with 2 gynaecs and 2 independent paediatricians.) to induce lactation.

These tips/digestives help prevent colic in the baby :
1) beetel leaves - after every full meal. This is a must in my family post-natal. have with supari/calcium.
2) ginger/jeera/garlic.
3) have some digestive after a meal and before lifing up the baby :). Do not eat while feeding.
4) avoid oily foods, potatoes, creamy food and such hard-to-digest things for a few weeks.
5) stay away from ripe mangoes, jackfruit, even bananas when the baby is too small.
6) best veggies - cabbage, snake-gourd, ladies-finger drum-stick, some yam, some beetroot, some varieties of greens.
7) allowed fruits - pear, apple, orange, grapes etc.
