Hi Ankita,

Could you tell me how old is ur baby? if the baby hasn' t started sitting I think the best way is option 3 suggested by Dr.Sarita. A burp is required b/w the feed only when the baby stops drinking in b/w and u feel that he/she is getting bit restless or cranky, otherwise you can burp them after they finish the full feed. I' ve a baby girl who is 8 month now she used burp at times only so don' t just keep hiting your baby hard if he/she hasn' t burped :) it is not necessary that they burp everytime but yes it is always advisable to do that. If the baby has already started sitting then go for option 1 I tried option 2 at times but she used to vomit the milk that ways. Hope this helps.

1) you can support the babys back and make him sit on your lap massage his back lightly
2) you can keep him against ur lap facing down on his tummy and massage his back.
3) just hold him upright and pat his back

Dont worry some kids take longer to burp than others

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
