Infertility Solutions:Q's about Hysteroscopy

Hi,
I am scheduled to undergo hysteroscopy in December and I would like to know if anyone who has undergone this diagnostic testing can share their experience with me.
Is it done under anesthesia? Is it painful? How long does it take? etc.

Thanks in advance for your response
Rama

Dear Neha,
Thanks for your soothing words. My dr wanted to check if my uterine cavity was ok. For me, TB infection was in the uterine cavity and my uterus had a lot of small adhesions. Also, due to the infection I had a uterus the size of a 12 week pregnant uterus. Now I feel the drastic reduction is size(after 4+ months TB Rx). Hopefully with the medication I should be fine.
Hope God paves the way for all our dreams to come true.

take care,
Rama

hi rama,
your doc maybe wants to make sure that your tubes are no longer blocked. ask your doc which type of anaesthesia will be given.
i had a usg done which showed some filing defects and as my daughter was an oblique lie doc suspected a septum, which she said if present she will remove with the hysteroscope. it was to be a long procedure so i was given general anaesthesia.
anyway i had some small adhesions which she removed at the same time.
your result will be normal dont worry.

Dear Neha,
Thanks for your response. My Dr has suggested a Hysteroscopy in dec when my TB Rx course will get over. I'm very anxious and eager about the procedure and also the results.

Were you given general or local anaesthisia?

Thanks
Rama
