my hubby is 30yrs and i m 21yrs old my hubby tells he does not want kids for another 3 yrs do u think we can have kids after 3 yrs. i m not interested in using pills as if has side effects we use condoms right now. helpful replied. Hello, if your husband does not want kids for another 3 years, and you don't want to take birth control pill, have you ever thought about him coming out..yes condoms are great, use them as long as you can, but it can be irritating. I've been married for the past 7 years for the first year I was on the pill, (yes the pill does have side effects, but it all depends on the person's body) and after that we've been using condoms once in a while but for the rest of the time he is coming out. It's your choice, what ever you choose will work.. Good luck. anu replied. It is strange for a 30 year old not to want kids. But you are very young. Birth control pills are very safe. I went on birth control pills for a very long period, 3 years after having my first child. I never had any adverse affects with those. You can try those if you are good at remembering to take pills.
