Hi there yall....
Am in a total fix.... My son, 3 weeks now just does not stop crying during the evening time... I try to console him,feed him, change the diaper etc... But there is no luck stopping him from crying..... The biggest thing is that, he cries even when he is feeding.... Am in a total mess... Please do help me.Thnx in advance....

Shannu Kinda replied. Have you considered reflux? We thought my son had colic, but it was actually reflux. He would scream for hours at night and seemed to be in such pain. It was especially when he was eating or right afterwards, which is something you mentioned. If he arches his back a lot this is another sign. My son developed esophagitis from his silent reflux (he was not a spitter) and was in a lot of pain for months before we figured it out. Medication helped tremendously and we went from a always screaming baby to a very happy baby. Good luck. r replied. If ur child is colicky he would have tummy ache to find whether he has tummy ache raise the the child with both hands in air if he folds his legs he has tummy ache, use Bonnisan an ayurvedic medicine for colic, dont feed the baby.

Sometimes babies just cry to be soothed, wrap the baby in a light sheet with both hands inside the sheet and make sh shs sh sh sound in the babys ear
this creates the womb environ for the baby and soothes it, also when they cry and beat around their arms a lot they get more tired and cry more.

Manju replied. I know how frustrating it can be, when your 3 weeks old child cries. Happened with my daughter and I was at my wits end. I would recommend to check for 3 things first. 1. Is he hungry. 2. Does he have dirty diaper. 3. Is he cold. After you have ruled these 3 factors out, it is safe to say he has colic. It peaks at 6 weeks and can last upto 3 months. Don't worry - it all passes away! My infant also dealt with gas a lot. I found that gripe water helped, even for 3 weeks old child. Hope this helps. mum replied. Every evening he used to start crying until 9 or 10 PM. It is better not to feed him when he is crying. Hold him close to u and take a walk. This might comfort him a bit. When he calms down feed him little, but not to fill his tummy completely. There is no complete cure for colic. It will go away by itself once he is 3 months old. There are more comfort measures in colichepldotcom. You can try if it works for u. There r also homeo medicines for temp releif(which i didn't know at that time). Have a lot of patience. Goodluck.
