Hi girls,
I entered the 26th week yesterday.I am just wondering when i will have the GD test.I have an appointment with the doctor in the 27th week.She did'nt mension about the GD test yet.I came to know that they will do a GD test by reading this board forums only.I just wanted to know in which week they will do the test and also what is the procedure for it.How will it be done?.Thanks.

Hi kalyani,
Generally GT is taken between weeks 26 to 30 according to my OB..2day i am entering into my 28th week so i did the test this morning...u will get the orange drink when u go 4 the next appt so dont worry..but try to avoid sweetsfrm 3 days be4 giving the test...u shud be fine

Hi Kalyani,

Generally glucose test will be done in 7th or 8th month. It depends on the doctor also. I had my glucose test in my 26th week and one of my friend has an appointment during 30th week. I think next time when you go for doc appointment, your doctor might ask you to come for the glucose test again some time.
Glucose test is just a blood test. I think they check sugar proportion in your blood and see if that is with in the limits. Don't worry any next week you can check with
doc.
