Hi Archie & friends,
I had contractions for the whole day yesterday and didn't feel any baby movements except few in the early morning. I was at work yesterday and worried. In the evening, I called the nurse and they stick me to the monitor and said that baby's heartbeat is good but baby is not moving....may be because of the contractions.
Those are not painful but are continuoes throughout the day. Today, baby is moving good and no contractions. I'm in 36th week.
The nurse told me that I may have christmas baby. Does it mean baby is on the way ARchie ??? How can she know without checking my cervix ?? Is it a guessing ? I'm confused by the nurse comments though I know that BHC doesn't mean we are going into labour it only means some progess. Am I correct Archie ?

that was a pure guess of nurse.
keep track of fetal movement though. Since you are a multiparous mother your labor won't last that long, it will start and end in few hours.

Hey Sushma,

How were the contractions? I have been having severe hip pain and once in a while I get pinching pains. Are these called contractions? Please tell me as how to find out which pains are contractions?

Hi Bhavana,
The tightening of the muscles on the abdomen are called contractions. It tightens your muscles when you have a contraction and you will know it when you have one. Mine, I know that they are false pains b'cos they are coming on my lower abdomen with no back pain.

Have any of you pierced your baby' s ears? Where did you get it done? Were you able to change the earrings after the piercing and put on indian ear rings? My pediatrician does not do it, and she suggested that i take tanvi to the mall. Pls share your experiences at the mall if you' ve had any.

My daughter was 5 months old when we decided to get her ear pierced. hi! everyone my baby boy is 2yrs 3months i took up a job in which i come home for lunch and he is at home with maid only for 4 hrs sometimes 6 hrs 1st everything was ok but now he is becoming angrier day by day refuses to eat and throws evrything he can lay his hands i am worried abt him as i hav a contract can' t leave for another 11months but he just don' t listen pls he... - jigs [View Message]
