i'm a married woman in my 30s.i hv been out of india for last 10 yrs with my hubby.now we r bk in india for good.during these 10 yrs i hvn't worked.i was a housewife looking after my kid.now that i'm bk in india i hv this urge to do MBA thru distance education.i hv a pg degree.Earning an mba degree was always in my mind all these yrs but cos of circumstances i cudn't do it.Now i'm india and i c some good institutes near my place offering distance education MBA .wat i want to know is :
1)has any of u freinds studied in ur 30s or know abt women doing studies in their 30s with no prior job experience or little work experince.
2)is it difficult to study at this age? how do u manage studies and family and housework?
3)is distance education MBA worthwhile? I can do only distance education...i don't think i can manage regular prog cos of family.

U r ideaa of doing MBA is good. As long as u have the buring desire of achieving this age would nto be a constraint. I am 26 with 2 finance professional qualifications form india and presenting doing CIMA from Uk with 2 papers left to get global qualification. Next plan is to do and MBA from a A class Business cshcool. I have a grnadfather of mine who completed LLB and MBA at the age of 70 +. So age is not a constriant.Make up u r mind and have the desire u would achive it. Arvin replied. Hi Divya,
A piece of advise to you if you don't mine. Studying got no age limit and so pls go ahead and enrol for the studies. I have met an elderly person in the Polytechnic and I was told that he is 57 years old and doing his first year in E&E Eng .
Wish you all the Best In Your Studies. ms replied. you can try SCDL(symbiosis centre for distance learning) i did MBA from there.they give good study material and the exams are also pretty easy to attempt.
why are u bothered about finding ppl who are in there 30's and studying. how can age matter here.i dont think studying at this age shd be diffic. its just that you 'll have difficulty to bring the initial flow. once ur regular its easy.but thats with everybody. well as far as distance edu MBA ....to be honest it hasnt helped me.but you can get into institutes as a research officer. they look for post-grads.all the best divya...
